SUREGRIP SERIES is a C2 E, cement based tile adhesive that has high bond strength, exceeds 1.0MPa.
ABOUT
Suregrip Series tile adhesive is a Class C2 cement powder based adhesive formulated to be mixed with water. It is a thick bed adhesive for bedding and fixing ceramic tiles to firm masonry surfaces.

WHAT IS ADHESIVE?
Research conducted on large format tiles subject to 40 ºC and greater temperature variations has found that they will become drummy or hollow after a year. These findings conclude that only C2S2 adhesives can guarantees durable fixing of tiles.
The ceramic tile industry rates the strength and flexibility of ceramic tile adhesive as follow:

- Exceeds the performance requirements of AS ISO 13007.1.
Tensile adhesion strength 1.65MPa (28 days)
If you do not specify the adhesive qualify when tiling, you will probably get a C1 (ie. low strength and rigid).
Specification
Building move over time due to settling and thermal movement which can cause C1 adhesive to fail,causing drummy tiles.
Construction Chemical do not make C1 rubber modified adhesive because of their variable performance.
You need at least to specify C2S2 or C2S1 to accommodate higher movement.
