USES

A damp proofing membrane on concrete floors prior to floor coverings where moisture exceeds Australian Standards and to stop dampness in floors and walls of cellars, basement, etc. A primer for damp/immersed applications, smooth concrete and tiles.

Specification

The epoxy resin shall be water based and when used for damp proofing shall have a WVT rate of 14g/m2 /24 hours such as EPOXY DAMP-PROOF manufactured by Construction Chemicals and be applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be structurally sound and clean, free from laitance, dust, waxes, paint and other contaminants. Apply EPOXY DAMP-PROOF to wood floated or broom finish concrete. Steel floated and contanimated surfaces must be suitably abraded with dustless shot blasting or grinding then washed thoroughly and surface water allowed to dry. Porous surfaces must be dampened prior to EPOXY DAMP-PROOF application.
